One of my good horsey friends rides at a barn that is under QT with an EVH-1 outbreak. Two horses have been euthed, several more are in serious shape, including two wonderful OTTBs and a magnificent perchie that was rescued from the slaughter pipeline as a yearling when the semi he was in overturned. The barn owner is good people (the three I describe are her own). One of the OTTBs has been eventing prelim and was likely to make his FEI debut in dressage this year. The other, bless him, has been showing a tween the ropes and they're schooling First. Jingles please for these nice people and lovely horses, and my buddy, who lurks here too. I'm so terribly saddened by this, and worried for them all.  |

Argh! Just heard that one of the horses from WoodEnd (the now-defunct OTTB charity I got Jag from, and with which I used to volunteer) that's at that barn is spiking a 105 degree temp today.  |
