Ok, so a lot of people have told me to try this, and I am considering it. Are there any dangers to feeding it? All I can find on the internet is that it is good for them, it increases their appetite (they like the taste!), it's good for their hind gut, it helps with digesting fibre, etc. etc.
How do you feed it to your horses? I was thinking of putting it in with his beet pulp and rice bran and mixing it up with a little bit of Equi-Lick.
What's the difference between yeast and pro-biotics?
I'm looking for any information from anyone. Thanks!

As far as I know, the studies looking at this have had mixed results (some showed benefit, and some didn't)....
So I'm not sure that it would hurt, but I'm not sure that it would help anything.
Others will probably have more first-hand experience, but I've never fed it to horses.

He's been on the yeast for 1 month now, and he loves it. Licks the bowl clean. He's glowing...and it's grey and rainy here. I don't know if it's making any difference, but I feel like I have one happy horse on my hands. If the yeast isn't doing anything for his health, he at least likes the taste of it. ;D

Interesting! Thanks for updating the thread. What kind do you give / where do you get it?
