I just started reading a young adult series. The first one is City of Bones, but there are about 6ish books in total. It deals with vampires, werewolves, fairies, warlocks, etc. If you haven't read A Discovery of Witches, you might try that. It deals with vampires and witches. The second book of what will be a trilogy just came out as well.

Have you read any Robin Hobbs? The Farseer trilogy and the Liveship Traders trilogy are WONDERFUL - full of well-developed characters and captivating storylines.
I just read Patricia Briggs' first novel Masques (now in re-print) and its sequel Wolfsbane. Both are good reads and I generally like her novels (her Mercy Thompson books are a fun read).
I checked out the first Green Rider book from the library but have not started yet (I am in the middle of Dune).
Have you read "The Name of the Wind", by Patrick Rothfuss? I loved it and it has been universally well-reviewed. It's to be part of a trilogy (second book is also out).
If you really want to devote yourself to a series, you can get going on the Wheel of Time series (now on book 13 or thereabouts). The story is good though it drags in some parts, as you might expect in a series of that length. Still, it's engrossing and mostly fun to read.

a tad late to the party but have you tried the M.Y.T.H. Series by Robert Lynn Asprin? Or the Xanth 'Triology" by Piers Anthony?

I just finished the first book of the Green Rider series. I'm looking forward to starting book 2 - it's a fun light read.

Another series that is awesome is Jim Butcher's series. I think there are at least 15 books and his newest one is coming out at Thanksgiving! I love love love these books! I've also read a few others so I'll let you know when I get a chance this weekend as there were so many!
