Someone on another board posted about this self-published novel called Wool. It started as a short story and sprouted into 5 or 6 volumes. Kindle has a sample you can read and has an omnibus of all volumes for $5.99. It is the only book I have ever read that has no spelling errors anywhere (so far). lol
I read the sample and liked it, so I purchased the rest. Some of it is slow, but I like it so far. I'm about 75%ish through and can't figure out how it will end yet which is something different for me as I tend to figure out most movies and books before I've finished them. .

hehehee did you see my post on COTH? I really liked it and I WANT the next one NOW. (Because, as you will see..there is room for many more!) I happened upon it totally by chance, after reading The Old Man and The Wasteland and liking that. Which was suprising because I don't typically like those "after the apocalypse" books. I search "related books" and found Wool.

No, but will trot over to Amazon to look! Though 'Wool' - well, we have plenty of that in Shetland!

How did I miss this until now? lol Someone posted it on an Ultimate Dressage thread about Hunger Games, so I checked it out. Was that you???
Bara, you're so cheeky, I love it!
Unbound- let us know what you think please.
I read the WOOL omnibus and then read part 6. It's very good! Like you Niaru, I can't wait to read more.

Oh yes, it's a pre-quel that tells how everyone ended up in the Silos. It's called First Shift-Legacy (part 6 of the Silo Series).

I've read the first story of Wool. I really like it so far...haven't started the second story yet. With moving, I've gotten distracted so I haven't gotten back to it yet, but I will. I want to find out how they got into the silos!

While in the doctor's waiting room, I read in one of those "people" magazines that Fox bought the rights to the series...should be interesting if it is done well!

OOOh, that's interesting Niaru. In my opinion, FOX does well with those types of shows (Fringe, Terra Nova, etc), so I'm kind of excited to see what they do with it.

Just an update...I finally revisited this series this weekend...and WOW! What a great series. There are two other books in this line out now, the aforementioned First Shift...and now a Second Shift...with Third Shift expected in the spring. This writer has several other books out as well that get outstanding reviews.
Thanks to RR for her original recommendation! Great read!!
