Kind of a dumb question. Does Irideon gear run small, large, or true to size? I"m on tack of the day wanting to buy a vest, for after the baby, not sure how they run in size.
Thanks guys!

what size top do you normally wear? I wear large and can wear their large stuff and I have large shoulders but not a big chest. I also LOVE their breeches although they wear out fast, they are the only ones that fit as I have a long rise. I wear a large/x long. I would say if normally wear large then get large.

Irideon is my favorite to ride in and I even wear the tops all the time. They run pretty true to size. I wear medium and their stuff fits awesome!

I think they run pretty true to size - I wear Medium in both bottoms and tops.

I usually wear a medium, but I like to layer underneath my vests. Plus after the baby there probably won't be much that is medium about me Maybe my arms, they haven't gotten fat yet But I think I'll go with the large. I'd much rather have something slightly big than too tight. Filly...are you really a large? You are a small large Bummer about the pants wearing out fast. I'm always looking for a nice LONG breech.

I've not had issues with the breeches wearing out - I have a couple pairs of the Cadence full seats, which are OK (not my favorites but don't hate them), and I am devoted to their Wind Pro full seats for winter. I think I have about a half-dozen of them. I love love love them, and some are on their third winder.

The wind pro lasts me fine and I am fairly abusive on breeches...

Maybe I've just been unlucky but the chamios material always pills and then finally rips. I wash in non-bleach. I've owned 4 pair and only 1 has lasted more than 2 years. I ride 6 days a week (generally) and they are full seat. I do love them though and have tried many other brands and they never seem to fit or are $$$$ to buy. And thanks Elizabeth, I'm a large long. I tried the mediums on and they were a bit too snug. I knew if I gained any more weight back, which I have, that they wouldn't fit well. I love that you can buy them long too! I hate when britches come up to mid thigh! lol

A bit too late for me. I bought an Irideon jacket on TOD. Usually Large works for me and I can wear it, but it's a bit snug in the chest and I'm not particularly large chested. I have a pair of their breeches and they are fine, but not all their styles worked for me. I'm hard to fit for breeches, so you know I'm treating the two pairs of Elizabeth G's with the utmost care. Her's were the best and made to fit women, not 12yo girls. Hope the jacket works great for you. Filly about Chamois material, it is often best washed without fabric softener. I have a couple of Chamois shirts from Cabela's and in the directions it clearly states not to use fabric softeners. Not sure if your shirts washing directions say this, but I'd recommend going that direction. I love Chamois shirts. Other stuff I have that recommends not using fabric softener, Under Armor and my Elizabeth G's have the same instructions. Actually, except for sheets and towels, I use as little fabric soften as possible as fabric softener breaks down and weakens fabric faster then without. That said, it also helps with reducing wrinkles and makes your fabric softer, so I do use it, just less, except for the sheets and towels, cause I like them really soft.

Ha, I don't use any fabric softner but I do use PePeDee when washing breeches. It must have been the three I had. Two pair I completely wore through the backside. and the last pair, my favorite, just came completely undone within the material itself. Must have been a weakened spot in the material they used? I'd still buy them though. :-)

I want a pair of Irideon Wind pro ! I have a couple of Kerrits fleece-lined tights, and they are comfortable, but not warm enough to ride outside in the Maine winters. And I noticed that one of them is already getting badly worn in the "seat"area...so not very good quality for the money IMO.

So I think after reading all this I am going to try a pair of Irideon breeches, and probably the wind pro since I can get them in long.
Filly, and any other leggy people, what are your favorite long breeches. I have quite a few of the kerrits tights because they seem to stretch lengthwise and fit my legs. Some of the 'long' breeches are still too short and the knee patch is half way up my thigh...but I'm also trying not to purchase breeches much more than $100.
I can deal with a high or mid rise but lowrise seem to work best. I have a very short torso and am mostly legs.
Thanks guys!

Yeah, I don't know how you tall people can find breeches that fit. I'm 5'3 (on a good day) and I always get Long breeches!!

My fav are still Irideon's. I can't wear Kerrits, sadly. The rise is too short and I get massive front wedgie. I can wear Trainer's Choice full seats but they cost way too much $$$. I'm lucky, my friend gave me about 3 pair of her TC's full seat, elk and I love them but they are a tad too big everywhere. I'll survive! :-)

Hi elizabethann, I would like to suggest you a website where you can buy irideon breeches at good price and if you are in the US. They will provide free delivery as well. They have a very good collection of Breeches of almost all brands. Just check it out. Hope, you will love it.
