by Jodi Picoult. My Librarian recommended it to me and I loved it. It's a good story (even if you're not into paranormal stuff) set in Vermont and it also touches on a slice of history I bet a lot of Vermonters would rather forget...very interesting, appalling, and totally news to me! Has anyone else read it?

I have not, but I will have to look into it. Sounds like something I would like and I have been looking for something to read.

No, and I've been avoiding Picoult for various reasons, but maybe I'll give this one a try on your recommendation!

Hi Ann! Long time no read! Why have you been avoiding Picoult? Now I'm curious! I've read other things by her that I didn't really care for, but I really liked this one. Mostly for the history behind it, actually.

I haven't read anything by her, so I can't really find fault. But I gather she often takes up the theme of victimized children? Is that right? I find that so disturbing, I don't want to mix it up with my leisure reading. But suppose I'm all wrong. That would be no surprise.
Anyway, I have been reading nonfiction lately. No idea why. I have to get back to the STORIES!
