This world is filled with :curse: :curse: :curse: idiots, I swear I hate hauling a trailer through the city. People just don't respect the trailer, well, especially here in Edmonton.
But all in all, Briana travelled just fine. I thought we might have some issues with loading at the clinic, but she hopped up like a pro, distinctly different from Monday when I hauled her up there. She slipped a bit hopping off the trailer but that was her own fault as she tried to rush but slowed down dramatically after that.
Luckily she does have a companion in the stall next to her (well, unlucky for that horses owner). She settled in nicely into her stall and was munching on some hay when I left to go back to work.
The best news though was the fact that in the instructions sent to me for her "home care", she is on stall rest for 4 - 5 days than turned out in a small pen by herself until sutures removed (at 10 days). I am thinking I am going to have to get some ace or something to give to her before turning her out as she loves to run around and well, I think that would be counter productive.
The only other fight I will have with her is giving her 1 gram of bute paste per day. She decided not to long ago that anything given by mouth is poison. :bang:
Thanks for all your well wishes and here is to hoping for a continual recovery.
Oh, I forgot, I asked the vet if there could be any long term implications to what happened, you know, if it could restrict Brie in any way, and she said that Briana could do what ever she wanted to performance wise.
