What exercises do you do that have helped your balance? I have always rode western, cause i felt safer. The 1 time I rode in a English saddle I felt naked, would rather ride bareback. This summer I will again try English riding, but need better balance. I do palates, and core traing, anything else that will help?

Yoga is great for balance. I remember the 1st class I took, I had trouble with all the balance poses and I could not stay up on one foot! It was embarrassing. But I got better!

Lisa- I climb rocks, jog rough trails and go over obstacles. You cannot do this unless your core is engaged. It's made me become more aware of my core and consequently, I use it alot more. I have so much more control of whatever I'm doing when my core is engaged. If you enjoy jogging and getting your heart rate up, you might try the trail running.
