Zen, thanks for sharing all of the pics of Flynn. He was an wonderful horse and I'm so very jealous of the relationship you had with him. It's what all true horsemen strive for.

The Mighty Flynn lives on in the memories of everyone on Exracers! I especially like the pre-parade shot you have there, where even the famous ex Jeep Wagoneer can be seen! I feel very honored to have met BOTH, live and in person, and I can safely say that the Mighty Flynn was quite larger than life! A fabulous horse!

Er, SMay, that's not the GW. That's a conversion van I had for a while. Tried to find a picture of Flynn with the GW, I know I have one, but.... I like the firetruck photo too, because he could care less that a firetruck full of people just went by. He's looking for one of his buddies instead. ;D

Yes, that is really me in the first pic. Hard to believe I was ever that young. I'm pretty sure that was the heart cow. Had a nearly perfect heart on his forehead. Also, if the ropers beat him out of the box tended to go for the crowd waiting their turn on the left.
SMay, I have no idea why I can't find those pictures. I've found pictures from about that time, but not those. If I ever do, even if it's a few years from now, I will share them, just for you.

Hard to believe it's been a whole year without him. My mother has been going through my Grandfather's pictures, where most of these were likely the ones that didn't make snuff, so-to-speak at the time, but thought I'd add them anyway. When we used to do the 4th of July parades, we'd go straight to my Grandparents. On the hot days, I'd hose him off. 1994 2004 That's my Grandpa. I'm thinking Grandma might have taken this one. 2001 Shortly after I moved Flynn to where I still am now.

Awww so many memories. I know I get a pinch in my heart every time I look at my old Trinket (the Morgan) pictures. I did everything with that horse and she was very attached to me. I still miss her, much more than any other horse I lost. Sniff. I know you feel the same about Flynn. ((hugs))

He was such a great horse and had so many adoring fans. Fortunately, some parts of our hearts stand still no matter how much time has passed. Loved your Flynn!
