I recently adopted a 3 yr old mare unraced off the track from Delaware and now need to find a home for her! I went into it knowing that she had a superficial injury to her right hind fetlock - almost healed but will leave a scar. I went to pick her up and suspected she had had a fractured pelvis since she was lower on the left than right. Unfortunately when I went to get her ankle ultra sounded it was found that she has a tear in her lower tendon along with a pelvis that is recently fractured. My vet quoted me 1500 to fix the tendon. She will be w/t trail sound after a period of six months for her pelvis to heal without fixing the tendon. She's up to date on shots, coggins and is doing awesome barefoot! She's a super cute mare (about 15.3/16) who deserves a loving home!
