This one is a heartbreaker. Sounds like he tried his heart out for someone and now he is dumped into the kill pen:

#009 - 14.3 hh Bay TB mare, 4 yrs old. Fronts and right hind white, blaze, Left hind, heels white. Tat-foaled 5/10/06 in NY--8 starts, 1 1st & 1 3rd, earned $5,920.00--last race 4/25/10. Selling sound, rode w-t, quiet . . $300.00

This boy looks so sad.

#995 - 16 hh GreyTB Geld. 12 yrs., Tat-foaled 1998 in La., 4 starts not placed. He was a nice, nice boy in the pen, he was led thru lame, said "something in the foot or kicked in shoulder" Said to be well-broke. . $275.

985 is sold. But the other 3 still desperately need a home.

Just saw that a reputable rescue, Second Race has offered to take all 3 OTTBs and is fundraising. Please send a small amount if you can. I am just about to - it makes me feel a little better to think that I helped save a few TBs from slaughter.
