Our local feed store went out of business so now the local pet supply place is going to carry some horse feeds. I understand that they will have Ranchway/Triple Crown. I am trying to figure out what might be the equivalent type of feeding regime for Zeke. He currently gets beet pulp, Purina Ultium and Purina Amplify twice a day. I'm thinking that maybe beet pulp with the TC Training formula would be the best. Anyone had luck with that? He's in that typical position of being in work and also still needing to put weight on.

I tried the Training formula with Boy for a while and I wasn't that thrilled with it. It's got more soy in it than their other feeds and he doesn't do well on soy. I switched him over to TC Senior and he was fat in to time. I also like TC Complete and had him on that for a while too, the reason I switched to the senior was for the higher protein content.

That is interesting about the soy. I saw that there was a lot of soy in it and didn't know what that meant. I have one bag and another coming. If I don't like them, maybe I will go to the Senior. Does senior have more fat than the complete?

The fat content is the same but the protein is 14% instead of 11% like the complete. It's also alfalfa meal based which Boy seems to do well on. The NSC content is very low... something like 11%. That's lower than most of the "Low Starch, Low Carb" feeds out there. The Senior is also a little easier to deal with when it's cold. The complete is like a brick in the winter www.triplecrownfeed.com/feeds/senior-formulawww.triplecrownfeed.com/feeds/complete-formula

I feel your pain. When I moved to my town there was a feed store within 2 miles of my house that sold Purina Feeds. They promptly closed, so now I have to drive about 26 miles (one way) to get Flynn's senior feed. Such is life. Maybe you can find another Purina dealer not too far from you?
