No, Chip didnt leave Bird behind. Bird was in N.M. mostly on layup. the owners decided to try D.Wayne Lucas as his new trainer but the rest of their horses are still with Wooley.... the reason I know this is because my Daughter works for Chip in NM. She ponied Bird in the West Virginia Derby and helped him , the time they were here.. Chip offered her a job. She went to Fla for the winter but wasnt happy there so she called Chip and asked if the offer was still good. she was in ElPaso the rest of the winter and then shipped to Ruidoso. she has his horses in Ruidoso while Chip is with the rest of the horses in Farmington NM.

I admit to being a bit partial to the "Western Flair" that Chip Wooley personifies. I mean he is most known for his training of racing Quarter Horses, but Mine that Bird has and showed such potential under his training credentials. I certainly don't intend to down play D. Wayne Lucas training of Mine that Bird.
same here , "go Bird"!!!!!!!
