Numbers has been diagnosed with desmitis in his LF, the same leg with an old sesamoid fracture. Vet said he is sound for walk-trot trail riding, but no arena work. He was supposed to be my next dressage horse! . I have him on MSM, and was wondering whether any sort of boot would help. If anyone has experience with this condition, I would love to hear about it. I rode him yesterday for the first time in 4 months; just at a walk. It breaks my heart; he is just a great horse, and only 7!

Suspensory desmitis can be genetic or injury-induced. My giant Hanoverian gelding Sam has the injury type in his left hind. It's advanced to the point where I don't ride him much, but when I do (light walking) I don't use boots. There's just nothing on the market that can actually support a leg in that direction.
Sorry for you and Numbers!
