I bought and read the new Stephanie Meyer book this weekend. The one about Bree Tanner (the newborn vampire that is killed by the Volturi at the end of Eclipse). It's pretty good. It only took me about an hour and a half to read the whole thing. It's quite short. Anybody else read it yet?

Just started reading it for free at Breetanner.com
Ok, just finished it and I liked it. I wish it had gone into a little more depth, but I really liked it. It will be interesting to see if she does something with Fred's character and while I knew Diego was doomed from the start, I had hope.. sigh... oh well.

Yeah a Fred story would be very interesting. It was a good story. I should have left it to read online at work during incubation periods but there's a portion of proceeds donated to some charity ( I can't recall which one) and I'm a total sucker for that type of stuff. I just wish she would finish Midnight Sun.  |

Thanks for the link to the free story! I am rebelling against buying anything from Stephenie Meyers until she finishes Midnight Sun  Am I the only one who finds it amusing that she is refusing to finish/publish Midnight Sun because it got leaked, but she is putting Bree Tanner out there for free? Fred seems like a very cool vamp.. |

I thought the same thing Sam. Also, wasn't it one of her "friends" that she had given a sample of Midnight Sun to that leaked it? It wasnt' like it was one of the readers, but that's who she is trying to "punish" by not finishing it. Kinda smells fishy, but oh well.

Oh I'm sure it was. It isn't like she gives samples to random people. She could make another million dollars with that book... I'll bet if she were still a starving artist she'd publish it in a heartbeat!
