Just counting down the days. Saw on the news the horses started arriving at Church Hill Downs in Louisville last week.

I'm going with Sidney's Candy to win. My main reasons are two-fold. First, my Stepson's youngest daughter's name is Sydnee, with an "e" at the end, but still same pronunciation. Secondly, I am very partial to the name Candy as in my 23 year old mare, Candy. I'll not be putting any money on it though, but I'll sure be doing a bunch of cheering him on.

I'll be rooting for Noble's Promise. We ran against him at Presque Isle last year with Midnight Medic. We ran a nice fourth in that race, 150k stakes. NP won but a few, we got beat for third by a nose and second by a head. So if NP has turned out so nice, I'm hoping Midnight Medic can follow in his footsteps! I'd love to see him with the Derby just because of that!

ACK!! Rainy, sloppy Derby track in the forecast. Could be the "making or breaking" of favorites and odds.

I missed the race but watched it today on You Tube. Happy for Calvin, and very impressed by Ice Box who was way back in the pack and made up ALL that ground so fast. A few more yards and Ice box would have won ! Yucky, grueling footing in that race, blah!
