TICO BOUND is a 6 yo bay granddaughter of Seattle Slew. Her pedigree reads like a who's who of sport horse lines, including the immortal Slew himself as paternal grandsire, Bold Ruler, Green Dancer and Sir Ivor.
This mare doesn't really have enough talent to keep racing and the owner/trainer wants to find a new home and a new career for her. She is sound but slow, with only 8 lifetime races. Tico is easy to ride, kind to be around and a good shipper. Her groom and gallop boys both say she does absolutely nothing wrong. She is a sweet, quiet mare. Tico is a controlled cribber.
In her last race, Tico was being uncharacteristically silly in the starting gate and acted up at the break, smacking her right ankle pretty hard. It is a little swollen on the inside - it was xrayed 3 days ago and showed no bone involvement, it's just bruised. Those clean xrays are available for viewing. It should be completely healed within 7-10 days.
