by Beth Hoffman. If you loved Secret Life of Bee's then you will adore this short novel. I loved it! It's about a 12 year old girl who starts a miserable life with a mentally ill mother and then ends up in Savannah GA. I loved the imagery of the book. I felt like I was right there. A great read for the young reader but also great for adults! I read it in about a day. Highly recommend!

Oooh thanks! I'll try it. I just finished Cutting for Stone (good book!) and was going to start Malcolm Gladwell's Outliers but I'm more in the mood for a novel, and I LOVED the Secret Life of Bees! Made both my daughters read it.
