It was one year ago today that I lost the best dog I ever could have asked for. Jazz was my constant devoted companion. I adopted her from the Cleveland Animal Protective League when she was 12 weeks old. She rode home in my truck with her head on my lap. For the next 11 years she took many, many rides with me like that. She was with me through some of the hardest times in my life, moving homes 4 times as well. She always knew when I wasn't well and always stayed by my side. She was a silly, fun, kind and sweet little dog who had a bag full of nicknames.....Jazzy, Jazzy Bobo, Snooty, Snazzy, Small Dog, Duck Dog (people said she looked like a Duck Toller) and many more.
I doubt I'll ever find another dog that will even come close to measuring up to Jazz. I used to tell her "stay" and go off riding....coming to find her still laying in the same place I left her when I got home. That dog loved to run too. I think the fact that she was so active was what caused the injury that sent her over the bridge. I will never, ever forget my friend. Miss you girly.
