He is located in Grove City, Ohio. I can bring him home temporarly only if I KNOW FOR SURE someone will be taking him. I can do shipping here are the notes from the canter volunteer. I have not seen the horse personally. The following are notes from the Canter volunteer who spoke to the owner. APROX 16HH DAPPLE GREY GELDING LEGS LOOKED CLEAN AND HE WALKED SOUND. HE HAD A NICE SET OF 4 SHOES ON. NICE REACH IN HIS WALKING STRIDE, NO RESERVATIONS OR APPEARANCE OF PAIN DURING HIS TIME OUT OF THE STALL. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE SIDE FOTO...NOT OVER OR UNDER AT THE KNEE, JUST RIGHT. I FELT NO HEAT IN HIS HOOVES OR ALONG THE FRONT LEGS UPON EXAMINATION. NO WIND PUFFS. NO OBVIOUS SPLINTS. SEEMED FAIRLY TIGHT, NO BOW IN EITHER OF THE FRONT LEGS. SEEMED LISTLESS AND HAD A SNOTTY NOSE. HAD CONSISTENTLY LOOSE BOWEL MOVEMENTS ; 3 DURING THE 10 MINUTES WE WERE WITH HIM. COULD ALSO BE FROM NERVES BUT MORE LIKELY ILLNESS. HE IS LIGHTWEIGHT; BONY SPINE. HIS COAT IS DULL &ROUGH AND COARSE AND HAD NO SHINE TO IT WHATSOEVER. HIS EYES APPEARED DULL AND LIFELESS. OPEN WOUND ON RT SIDE OF MID-FACIAL CHEEK DUE TO HALTER RUB. HIS ATTITUDE WAS PLEASANT AND HE WAS WILLING TO OBEY WITHOUT BITING OR EXCESSIVE BAD BEHAVIOUR. NO CRIBBING NOTED. Someone from the track went to check on the horse. the horse has been on meds for a snotty nose. (may be the reason for the loose stool)confirmed by the track vet. Canter went back last night and the horse seems much better.

I put the word out here in VA. Boy I wish I could take him, but I've stopped kidding myself about "projects and resales" because I find reasons to keep them all and hubby would have a coniption fit!

A day late and a dollar short... or should I say a STALL short. I really like him a lot - that's my kind a horse.

Im here in VA, currently working with two ex racers, but we have home in our hearts and property for another gelding and would gladly give him a new start. Feel free to email me any questions! VA is a long haul but we'd be willing to meet you half way. Poor guy looks like such a love!
