Haha! That's my dream saddle. If I had one I'd keep it! Good luck finding one. They are SO expensive in the US. I found a few used ones on European auction sites. But then you have to ship it...

I can't remember, it was 2 or 3 years ago. I just did a search for the saddle on the French browsers/auction sites (google.fr, ebay.fr, etc.) and came up with a few. Like this one for 1600 euros www.marchander.com/detail-114309.html

You can get Forestier in Canada easier than in the US i think, though they are still very expensive. I got mine second hand (it was my trainer's saddle) but it is still in great condition despite heavy use by a pro. And even used it was $1600. Of course right after I bought it our local tack shop decided to stop selling the brand and had a 50% clearance sale on all stock so I could have bought a new one for the same price. Grr. Anyway, most of the people at my barn ride in Forestier and everyone is very happy. Alice, you should check on the EMG board if you haven't already. You'll likely have better luck finding a Forestier among the Canadians. www.equiman.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=cfrm

Thanks everyone for the help!
I did post on Equiman as well.
Strangely, a friend of mine may sell hers - her horse is getting a sore back.
So I am keeping my fingers crossed!
They are darn hard to find. I can get one locally in 7-8 weeks, but have that person's blessings to try and find one sooner.
If anyone would like the location of the store that is getting them in, let me know.
