I have been reading 2 series recently- one is the Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum books... they are absolutely hilarious, in case anyone is looking for an easy, entertaining read. They literally make me laugh out loud 
I've also been recently introduced to the Laurell K. Hamilton Anita Blake books... she is a vampire slayer, and super badass. The books get really strange around #9 I think, but the first ones are awesome- the action never stops.
