This is really hfhopper. I'm just here at Goalie's and am using her computer since my dial-up stinks! Riley was a dream come true and my heart horse. At 17 hands, he was a big boy with tons of talent and the attitude to go with it. He raced in California (JC name Fab Do) for 3 years, winning a total of $42,025. I bought him as a 5 year old in 2003, just 30 days off track. After some stifle surgery and rehab, I started his retraining as a dressage horse. He taught me as much as I taught him each and every day. His devotion was amazing as he let me in like no other. No words can do justice to describe him and he will always have a very special place in my heart.

He's beautiful as with the pictures too. Your eyes tell it all - your love between each other. RIP Riley - you were loved

I was really sad to read about Riley's colic and I am so sorry he did not make it. I was in that same position just last year and could very easily have had to face the same outcome. I was lucky that mine pulled through...he is my very special guy, like Riley was to you, and I can understand the heartbreak you feel. I am glad you have Martha to help you now.
