Jade was a mare my family raced for two years. She retired 11/04 after having 38 starts, 7 wins, 8 seconds and 4 thirds - earning $108,097. Jade was a tough, big mare and a diva....and she knew it! When Jade retired she was sold as a broodmare with high hopes for some nice race babies. When she was 4 months in foal it was discovered she was full of cancer which had caused a bad colic.
RIP Jade

kaidensmom: Any stories or experience with a horse with strangles that is SOB? Gelding is currently hospitalized. On Penicillin and wasn't getting better so the vet just started horse on IV doses of DMSO. The abcesses are pharyngeal. Mar 13, 2017 22:41:03 GMT -5
