I purchased Maverick not too long after his last race in April of 2007. It had been my intention to buy him as a resale project. I quickly found that this adorable horse stole my heart with his sweet nature and beauty. Maverick stayed with my for 5 weeks and then went to live with Exracer Einstein at her farm in Virginia. There he learned how to jump and go cross country. Maverick was a charmer from the start. He eventually found his forever home through Einstein with a lovely young lady not too far from her. Maverick won over everyone who met him. In the fall of 2008 he managed to free himself from his stall and ended up having an accident on the farm with injuries that led to his death. There aren't many days I don't think about Maverick and his old soul.
