Has anyone just finished reading a book that they really enjoyed? I need something new to read.

Geez, where to start! Do you want light reading, or something intellectual? Historical? Romantic?
One book I recommend a lot is "A Thousand White Women", a historical novel about Native Americans. "The Seamstress" was an amazing book about 2 sisters taking separate paths in 1930s Brazil. Another is "Farm City" a memoir of a woman who starts a vegetable farm in inner city Oakland. "Shanghai Girls" is about Chinese sisters sold into marriage and moved to San Francisco. If you want something really light, try the "No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency" series, they're very engaging, and upbeat.
I read a lot. If these don't interest you, I've got more to tell you about!

I just started Dreamers of the Day, by Mary Doria Russell. An American woman goes to Egypt following WWI and gets caught up in the world changes occuring there. It's the "Big Read" book for our area for 2010, so I thought I'd give it a try. Good storytelling and some interesting period detail. Not profound, but very readable so far. Come on, Terrie, you and I are going to have a book club eventually! I just know it.

Saving Fish From Drowning ;D
I just started "Naked" and am loving it so far, but I never recommend any until I'm done, after Edgar Sawtell!

I'm well into the Millenium trilogy. Very entertaining. I'm reading the 3rd and final book right now. I had a somewhat hard time getting into the 1st book but once that happened, I was hooked!
I loved the No.1 Ladies Detective Agency books, too. Easy, short reads.

I just finished The Lost Symbol as well. I think I still liked Angels and Demons better, but it was good.
If you like actiony mystery types, Harlan Coben (may have misspelled it) has some books with recurring characters (Myron Bolitar and Wynn) that are pretty entertaining. They are just that though, entertaining, not brain food at all..lol.

I just finished the Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum series- they are really really easy and hilarious. Strongly recommend them for light reading. They will make you laugh out loud, for sure.

"Lost" by Gregory Maguire I'd say was OK. Entertaining at times, not a bad read, almost interesting. Guy wrote Wicked sO I thought it would be better.
That said, my neighbor LOVED it, so maybe I was just in a bad mood when I was reading it!
