Need some advice.
Big's stifle had locked a couple days ago on him and I figured it was from lack of riding, since I had no ridden him in about 3 days and he only had turnout at which he just kinda mosey around and didn't work. So, I got on him on the next time to get him back in work and I could feel he was lame on his hind end. Just felt off, leg gave out in back a time or two, and felt really odd tracking of the right at the canter, so we just trotted. Well two days later and he still feels off. I know I need to call the vet, however in the mean time what should I do? Should I bute? Should I turn out? Should I do light work? I did all the google search and my head is just spinning and I have no idea what I should do with him in the mean no. Nope, vet has no yet returned call! LOL

Estrone, or ECP I think it's called. Works wonders on stifles! I'd probably wait on a vet and get some Estrone. Bute probably won't help if he really did lock up. I've had 2 horse with Upward Fixation and did NOT want the surgery, Estrone has done the trick along with conditioning and some other things. I did blister the first horse with mediocre results, as well as Cosequin. Every horse is different and hopefully your vet will get back to you soon.
