What do you do to get motivated, and stay motivated? It has gotten colder, and since Im losing weight, I am FREEZING and just want to crawl under the blankets. I did take the dog for a brisk 20 min walk. I wanted to go longer but it is pouring, and Im a wimp!!!! My goal is to exersice at leat 6 days a week, but there are days that I just cant motivate to get going!

Let me know when you find out! I'm having trouble crawling out of bed myself. My poor dog hans't been on a walk in ages!

Every year for the holidays I buy myself The Runner's World Log and Calendar. There are couple of different ones on the market, but they all work the same: a weekly diary where you can enter things like your workouts, weight, etc. Even though they are designed for runners, and I haven't been able to run in ten years, I use it to enter my walking, trips to the fitness center, and of course my RIDES!
I make up goals at the beginning of each year; broken down into weeks they become manageable. I've been able to meet all my goals for several years - except the one about weight loss- grrr! The trick is to set reasonable goals - mine is 15 "moving" miles per week - which can be walking, cycling, x-c skiing, etc.
The log sits on my dining room table so it is always "in my face" and I can't forget about it! OK, enough procrastinating. Off to walk two miles in the beautiful fall sun!
