Lawrence Anthony adopted a herd of rogue elephants into his South African game reserve. If he hadn't done, they would have been shot.
He calls it 'Life loyalty and freedom'.
I have a copy, here, if anyone wants it. And thank you to my Wonderful Wicked South African Step-mother, Ann, for sending it to me.
She would love to know it has been re-cycled!

I want to be an elephant whisperer! But don't send me the book. I'll just get a copy at work.
Oh, and how coincidental that you've got a wicked stepmother named Ann and a wicked exracer friend named Ann, too. Both demanding "Read This Book!" on a regular basis. Speaking of which: Cutting for Stone, though is has some sad parts. Okay, it's a lot sad. I can't read it alone. Get busy!)

Speaking of Elephants, I read another one lately if you like elephants. Not a very deep book but entertaining, none the less. It was called Still Life with Elephant, by Judy Renee Singer. Not bad, easy read, and I loved the elephant parts in it.
