I am trying to find the perfect home for my 11 year old TB mare. She is able to do w/t/c but no jumping due to a bone chip/arthritis in a front knee. In the 5 years that I've owned her this injury has never given her a problem. She is on a dose of Glucosamine per day ($11 a canister that lasts about 2 months). She is definately a one owner horse and is absolutely not a lesson horse candidate. It is with a heavy heart that I am offering her, but she just can't take my daughter any further. If I could afford to keep two horses this would be a non-issue. Any prospective owner will be subjected to a backround check. I don't mean to sound harsh but the most important thing to me is to find this magnificent creature the perfect home that she deserves. I feel that the best situation for her would be a backyard barn that can afford her 24/7 turnout (with a stall to go in and out of) as she gets nervous and weaves IF she is the only one left in the barn. She is stalled at night now but I know she's most happy if she can come and go (that's how it was when we first got her).
Thanks so much.
