I'm not the only one?!?! I work in a vet and we recommend Frontline. I have had no luck with it. Last year, we had an awful flea problem. I talked with our Frontline rep and she reimbursed me. This year, it's started again. The other morning I woke up and there was a flea next to me on my beg! Ugh!! Yesterday, we had a horse show. So, Friday night I shoved Capstar down everyone's throats, gave flea baths with EctoSoothe and started washing everything in hot water. Took the dog to the show with us, put the cats out and bombed the house. We'll see how things go. The fleas are coming from the yard. What works to kill them out there? It's so repulsive and disgusting. Not to mention the poor dog. She must be losing her mind with all the itching. I'm going to look into this Comfortis. I found it on 1800petmeds www.1800petmeds.com/Comfortis-prod11039.html

I tried garlic pills ( trying the natural way) didnt work after 6 weeks.. and Cinnamon sprinkled over their food. which I read about in Dog Fancy magazine. It said that after a while the smell of cinnamon comes from their pores and the fleas hate that smell,,, HA.. didnt work either.. even after a month of cinnamon on their food. I ..HATE FLEAS

Advantage still works fine for us, but we apply it faithfully every month. A good vacuum cleaner is important, too. I think the HEPA filters make a big difference.

Hi Megan, I have been on a mad search to find the owner of a horse I sold many years ago. His name is BF Shah Szar. I bought him from a lady in Northern Ga along with a mare she had bred him to. I still have the mare and the resulting filly(now nine years old) every once in a while I think of him and wonder how he's doing. So last night I searched his name and wow did I get an eyeful. It seems that he had been starved and and in pitiful shape! The lady implied that she bought the horse from me in that condition and I was blown away by her statements. I guess she didn't want to take blame for his neglect. I currently own two Arab mares in their twenties, the nine year old mare by Shah Szar and an Spanish Norman Stallion. All of them healthy, fat and happy. All my animals are my first priority and to have someone accuse me of starving any of them is a fabrication. I invite anyone to come and visit my farm and see how I devote my entire energy, bank account and love to all of the creatures in my care. It has been a pipe dream of my for many years to start an Equine rescue just so I could help horses like Shah Szar, and to hear someone accuse me of neglect breaks my heart. At this point I only want to know how he is and hopefully talk to his new owner. If you have any info you are willing to share I would certainly appreciate it! Sincerely Jeff
