Is this a good one? My hubby is so busy working so much and with the heat-I have found time to read. Any other good suggestions?

LOVED Water for Elephants! I read it in the hospital and read it all in one day I think.

Water for Elephants is on my assigned reading list. (The list of books my daughters love which they insist I must read.) Exracers are adding weight to that recommendation.

Oh yes, it's great. I can't remember who first recommended it on here (was it you, Alison?)
I'll stop now, before spoilers!

A must read! Her other books- riding lessons and flying changes are good reads as well.

Okay, I'm about halfway through. Good storyteller, but I hope our hero gets some relief soon! Plenty of grim scenes, especially with the animals.

I was the one who recommended it and I love love love this book! It really leaves one of those impressions on you. The kind you think about non-stop for weeks! ;D
Highly recommend if you haven't read it yet, Ad. You'll absolutely adore it!

It was a quick read and a story that made me keep reading. And the ending was pretty neat. I wonder if she'll write a sequel, because I wanted to know more about the elephant. I suppose his time with the second circus must have been much better, since he seemed to have such a longing to return to that life, but the description of the Benzini circus experience was disturbing. Such cruelty all around.
