Eddie is a super-personable 5 year old, 15.3+ TB gelding who was to be my eventing partner. It was recently discovered, however, that he has the start of arthritis in both stifles and T16 – T18 back vertebrae. The head of surgery at Tufts University vet hospital is adamant that his performance career will in no way be limited by these issues with maintenance. I, however, am not comfortable continueing to push Eddie in the rigorous career of the competitive event horse. He is a fantastic pleasure / trail horse and does not need any special treatment to perform that job.
About Eddie (located in MA):
• He is a good mover who jumps in excellent form. Many professionals have commented that he should compete as a Hunter. Can do his changes, but they are not auto at this point.
• He is an easy ride. He has been hacked by 12 year old children and drafted into service for the occasional lesson.
• He trail rides alone and with others, ships, clips and is well behaved for farrier & vet, can be turned out with others.
• He does best with shoes up front only, but has been barefoot all around previously.
• He is one of the easiest, most enjoyable horses I have ever owned and if I had my own place, I wouldn’t consider rehoming him.
Here are a few pictures;

I am open to a free lease with an option or a “Giveaway” to the right home with excellent references. If you are interested in Eddie, please feel free to contact me, martino17 at verizon dot net.
