I have a super sweet 11 year old OTTB that would like to go to a warmer home. We live in Iowa and although he is fine for light riding ( half day rides ) the winters here are hard on his joints even though we do blanket him. He trail rides like a pro. Crosses water like he was born in it! No he is not a jumper or a racer anymore. He's retired The gal I bought him from wanted to jump him but he just doesn't have the drive. I don't have him on anything as far as supplements go however I do have shoes on him. His feet get a little tender on gravel and if they get trimmed to short. He has the typical TB build. Not alot of fat. I've found that he does best on pasture and 7 months of the year we aren't growing grass here..... I just had his back done by the Equine Chiro and he really enjoyed that ;D He is 17 hands and Husband safe I'd like to keep track of him so please keep that in mind when responding!!! Thanks!
