Hi guys, I haven't been around in awhile tons of stuff going on around here. But Killi had trouble peeing tonight. He always holds it until he is allowed in his stall, but tonight he didn't drop at all to pee, kind of splattered on himself. He dropped a little when he was done. But he dribbled like he didn't finish. I don't see any swelling or anything unusual. Ideas?

Have you checked him lately for a bean?

I do hope it's nothing serious. Horses do get kidney stones just like people do. If he doesn't have a bean you probably should have him looked at by your Vet.

I couldn't find anything, and he didn't come in and pee like he normally does. But he's known for holding it 4+ hours, could he just have to go so bad he couldn't wait?

I have a couple of geldings who don't bother to drop al the way to pee. It's gross but nothing I can do about it. Lego used to have to go right after I rode him and hosed him off. He's try real hard to wait until he got back in the stall. One day I was bringing him in off our walking machine and had just opened the barn door to lead him in (we have screen doors) and he peed right there outside the door.

I'll see what he does today when I bring him in. He usually doesn't drop all the way anyway, maybe he just had to go badly. He's fine otherwise, no signs of being in distress.
