I just got off the phone with a trainer who needs to get rid of a Thoroughbred mare. She's at a farm in Carrollton, Ohio (about an hour from Mountaineer Race Track). This is the first time this trainer has called us. He's had some bad experiences with selling to homes, one was a horse that was starved to death. He sounds like a nice guy who is willing to give this another shot, so I'd love to be able to help him out with his horse so he'll call about others in the future. He is asking $500.00 for the mare though.
She's a five or six year old chestnut mare, has a blaze and at least one high white leg. She's 15.3 or 16 hands, sound and racing on an old osselet, very pretty, he says if somebody doesn't like this horse they just plain don't like horses
, comes with papers, doesn't kick or bite, good for hauling, farrier, etc....she is a cribber but is controled with a collar, he also says she feels good and is a spunky horse.
He's trying to get pictures emailed to me or he's going to bring her to the track Friday evening so I can take pictures. If anybody is seriously interested email me at srparis2@yahoo.com for contact info.
