Hi all...
I've long since suspected that I have thyroid issues, but everything seems to test normal.
I got my hands on a book called Are You Fat, Fuzzy & Frazzled? Has anyone else read it?
According to the tests in it, my thyroid & other glands are severely out of whack. It supports EVERYTHING I have been thinking over the years but have yet to get a doctor to agree with.
If you have read it, and if you followed the program in it, did it help you? I am going this evening to get some of the recommended starter vitamins and such, and wondered if anyone else had any experience with it.
Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a good book.
There are various "normals". Remember how the common myth out there is that "nomal" is 98.6 is a normal body temperature? We all know that women vary in temperature and especially around ovulation that temp changes quite a bit.
My regular doc told me I was normal. Gee, then why didn't I feel, "normal"? Nurse Ratchet the endocrinologist looked at my tests and said I was at the low end of normal and for me it was too low. She prescribed thyroid med (the usual T4). Two weeks later I was a different person, feeling more like myself again. Later she added T3 support and that helped increased my energy. (I've been off an on that with some side effect issues. Will probably go back on.)
I thought it was something completely different when I went in to see her because of my regular doc telling me my levels were normal. If you aren't seeing a specialist, I definitely recommend it. Haha, just be prepared to work out every day if you happen to get my doc. ;D

Just an update. I found an endo, and I'm going to go see her on the 28th. She's going to run all the necessary tests, and I'm hoping that we'll get to the bottom of some of these issues.
I know it may not be a cure all, but I'm hoping that it will help some of my health/overall well-being issues.
