15 horses seized in Deerfield, OH - Help needed

This happened less than an hour from me. Happy Trails Sanctuary took these horses in and is asking for help with donations to feed/care for them.

I know people blame the economy but when you take on that many horses then reality is unless you are pretty wealthy you probably can't afford to take care of them properly. But to say the stallion got loose and some of the breedings were unplanned is ridiculous. I wonder if he is a stallion that is worthy of breeding -maybe he should be a gelding.

Last I had heard, these horses are in recovery at foster homes. They spent two weeks in stalls at the county fairgrounds, and from there moved on to their foster homes. Here's the link for their story: happytrailsfarm.org/artman/publish/article_285.shtml

Just wanted to update on these guys again...apparently, all the rescued horses have been signed over to Happy Trails (so they don't go back to the original abusive owner! Yay!) and are available for adoption!
