This is a cross-post. Any injuries please e-mail the owner:
It has become necessary for us to put for sale our Thoroughbred. He is a 9 yo gelding, Awesome Dude. He goes by Andy. I've taken a cut in hours, and now my DH a cut in pay. We are not able to keep up with Andy's financial needs anymore. We have owned him two and a half years. When we purchased him, he was a lesson horse. He has not been ridden in 13 months. He is accustomed to English riding. We tried a Western saddle out for a few sessions and he did well. During one of these sessions *we* did something wrong (we're told it's called a bucking strap that we had on the back of the saddle) and he threw our daughter who had been his "person". She has never been on a horse since and neither my husband nor I are skilled enough to take over. He is a very sweet boy. He loves our teenagers, prefers them actually. Stands well for the farrier, is in excellent health. I'm putting him out on this list first, because he of course needs the best home possible. We are putting a price of $1000 on him. Please forward to anyone interested. We are located within a one hour drive north of Dallas. Sadly, Diane ippolito@nts-online.net
