Sadly just a boarder, I would love to have a place like that someday! The outgoing boarder isn't leaving until the 31st so Blue will be here on the 5th...I'll give you an update then what time I'm usually up there every day, can't wait!!

You're really close to me as well. I'm currently boarding one in Montville.
Have fun with your new boy.

Maybe somewhere down the line we could plan a meet up - not sure if you guys are into trail riding but after MUCH time with my new boy that's a goal of mine and there are sure a lot of beautiful areas to ride around here.
Lis - if you're in Montville that's TOO funny....I moved from Kile Road to Leroy about 3 years ago and now my boyfriend re-opened the gas station at 6 & 166 (use to be a BP, now its called Hambden Corners) in December so I'm definitely closeby all the time!

The barn I'm at it is off of 6..right up the road from Kile.

Sounds like a great idea! That's what I like to do....trail riding.
In know where the old BP and Kile both are !!!!!!!!!!!
;D Would be great to ride with another OTTB - someone who doesn't think I'm crazy!

Lis, are you at Hidden Creek? If so that's too funny, we were just at Chelsea and Brian's last night....I've known Chelsea since we were pretty young and Brian and my boyfriend are friends.....plus our dogs are in love with each other, haha. AND if you don't board at Hidden Creek, none of this will make sense!! hehe
Cwy - stop by the station sometime, I'm in and out during the week but Sunday mornings I'm there from open til around 2.

Yes. I don't know Chelsea that well. I've been friends with the owners of the barn for years and didn't know where else to take my horse for the winter. I'll be leaving there in about a month though to take him home.

That sounds like a good plan - we're actually in the process right now of putting a small barn with a pasture in our back yard so I could keep mine at home during the summer also. Any way to avoid paying board year round I'm all for!!

My mom has fabulous outdoor..but it's not usuable in winter. My other 4 are at her house now. We've got one leaving for training this week, but both he and my horse will be back home in May..bringing the grand total up to 6. That's part of the problem with having your own barn, you tend to accumulate.

We're in the process of putting up pastures at home with a small barn - I'm sure I'm going to end up having the same problem : )

Hi everyone! As promised I wanted to put up a few first pictures of Blue in his new home : ) He had a pretty nervous first day, as to be expected, but is settling in really nicely and getting friendlier and more use to us more with each visit (3 since yesterday afternoon, haha) HUGE thanks to Holly for such a wonderful gift, he's an amazing, kind horse and we love him already!! Any exracer visits are welcomed, we're on Vrooman Road until sometime in May when he'll get to move to his own barn and pasture....can't wait!! Ok, now lets see if I can figure this picture thing out....
