Awhile ago Briana had gotten a puncture wound on her RF leg on the inside part of her leg above her knee. Anyway, after it had stopped draining, we allowed it to heal over. Well, on Thursday the vet was out to look at a few of the horses so I had her take on look at Brie as she had healed with what I thought was a small lump on her leg. Anyway, the vet clipped the hair away from the lump and it is much larger than I had thought.
To make a long story short, on Monday I have to haul Briana up to the vet clinic to have an x-ray and/or ultrasound done of her leg as well as possibly surgery if what the vet suspects is true. My vet thinks there is something up in there.
So please send out some positive thought to Briana (and me) on Monday morning. They are calling for snow and cold temperatures between now and than. I have never hauled in conditions like that and Briana has never hauled just by herself. It should make for an interesting trip.

OH no Paula. I hope everything is ok. It seems that the exracers family has not had good luck this year at all. Things have to get better right? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

I hope your hauling goes well - perhaps your vet could give you a little "something" for Briana to keep her calm with her new situation? I'd hate for her to panic and further injur herself or her old boo boo. I wonder what could be up in the old wound? Like a piece of something? Or scar tissue? Or what. Let's hope it's just a lump of scar tissue cause that wouldn't need surgery right? Teddy has a BIG lump of scar tissue on his front leg and it looks kind of ugly but absolutely doesn't hurt him.... He had it when I bought him.

Hoping for the best. Just drive really really slow if you have to. Hope you don't get the snow we just got.

Sending good thoughts from here too. It just stinks for you. Its not like the worry about Brie isn't enough, but then add the trailering alone. But no, not just that, gotta add bad weather too :bang:
Good luck and let us know how it goes. Drive very carefully (duh) and don't worry about people who want to drive faster than you.
