Just thought I would give it a shot - see if anyone has an old one they would like to sell cheaply. I am looking for just a basic bareback pad - does not need the stirrups, I never use them - and preferably one that the girth fastens with a plain old buckle, and not that weird slider mechanism that some of them have. Fabric, color, etc, do not matter. Just something to throw on and use to keep from getting sweaty on rides! Let me know - I figured with a lot of people getting some tack trunk cleaning done, this might be a good time to ask!

I have one Shannon that you can have just for the cost of shipping it to you. I'll PM you when I find out how much it is to ship it to you. Of course the hairs from Goalie and Billy are free too.

They are so pricey brand new! I've been looking for one, but didn't want to spend $40 on one!

Goalie- You are the bomb, and I would be HONORED to have Goalie and Billy hair! Fancyhorse - it's crazy, isn't it? Eons ago, when I was a kid, you could get a really basic little bareback pad, that was kind of a canvas-y sort of fabric - it had a light lining like western saddle pads did then. Not expensive at all. Never used the stirrups. We just used them for hopping on and riding. Rode thousands of miles on one! They wore like iron, and you could toss it on the washer when you mom wasn't looking. I was out of the horse thing for a long time, and when I got back into it - where were they?

This one does have stirrups that you can take off. I think I got it from Stateline a long time ago. Anyhoo, I'll get it boxed up and ready to mail to you on Monday. It has a southwestern pattern to it. I also noticed on it that you will get Martha and Eagle hairs too. I had forgotten I had ridden the white boys with it.
I can remember getting a really nice bareback pad when I was a kid for 20 dollars. It lasted for years.
I'll PM you shannon.
