what a cool looking horse.... so is he genetically cremello? I wonder. His dam is "white" too so there's a source for pretty buckskin and palomino TB babies...ooooo pretty!

White racehorse, regardless of breed, look kinda creepy.....almost as bad as cremellos but without those weird looking blue eyes. Guess I am old - don't like too much white on racehorses......

I'd have thought you liked horses that won races. Hey, I was never going to own a grey, because of the hard to keep looking clean factor. What do I do, I buy a BIG grey. ;D

Patchen Beauty had a successful race career in KY too, and I'm so glad to hear her offspring are winning. She's absolutely gorgeous. The family have kept all their white tbs.

Nope, they're not cremellos. They are actually white-white. They are what's called "maximally expressed sabino"- their entire body is essentially one giant white marking that covers whatever their base color might be.

The owners race in KY. I'll wonder, if this fellow is a stud, they will sell him when he leaves the track. There is quite an interest in breeding palomino tb sporthorses around. (I would never breed for color!) These tbs are the only white tbs that have raced well.
Patchen Beauty's dam is white, and her color was sort of unexpected when she was foaled. The JC had difficulty accepting white, but a couple others came along around the same time, and voila it is a recognized color now. he's a third generation. I'm wondering if they'll sell him for non-racing breeding.
When Patchen Beauty first started training, there was some grumbling among other trainers that the white horse would spook the other horses. Turned out not to be true. I think Patchern Beauty has a white filly too.
