I redid the percentage... Flame is only 6.25 percent WitezII, not 12.5... I missed a generation, drat.. but he's still a nice horse and would still fit in nicely with my breeding program... but he's so far away.. I looked up his home town.. he's near portland Oregon... Ugh... unless I can get him hauled for a reasonable price, I don't see this happening.....sigh...

Chris, If you were already planning to haul for two days, what difference does another day make? You are going to have this guy for years--and hopefully enjoy his babies for many more years. What is a couple extra days compared to that? He is a nice-looking guy. He also looks like he has a great disposition. Linda

I still think you should go get him Chris, or maybe look into that shipping deal that Shannon knows.... I'd MAYBE be slightly, tiny, itsy bitsy worried about a strenuous haul for a 20-year-old, but he's SUCH a pretty horse! You HAVE to get him! I know he's not BAY....but he's FLAME colored!

Chris, I just read this, you could definately stay here if you wanted, we even have a guest room. You just gotta love dogs ;D I'm not really that close to I 70, maybe 45 minutes with a trailer, but email me, or let me know if that works for you. I'll be at work all day, but I'll check on the board as soon as I get home.
PS~He's gorgeous!!

Oh my, and he's BAY! The other one is cute, but this guy has charisma! He is 24, so you should be able to get a couple of years at least I'd think. Of course the other guy is 20, so you would get more years. Then again, this guy is in Wyoming, a whole lot closer than Oregon. Ooooo, decisions, decisions. I know, get them both. ;D

Flame goes for $500? Get him! Even with shipping, it shouldn't be too bad, right? And I like Flame better than this one

Give these folks a try - let them know he is a rescue, they will do special rates for them. I was quite pleased with them - and you really can call them at any time they are on the road. Marsha handles all the booking. www.snakeriverequine.com/

I can't remember Sharon's addy, but I think if you do a search for Cream of the Crop Arabians, you will get her. Sharon Hadley and her husband breed Arabians and do horse transportation. They are VERY reasonable, like .50 a mile, and take excellent care of their horses. I could probably get you several references for them. Let me know if you want me to try and find the address for you.

Shannon.. I have contacted the shipper you suggested from Idaho and let them know this boy is a rescue.. I'll let you know when I hear back from them.. You guys are the greatest! I knew somebody on this board would have some good suggestions. Now let's all pull for Flame coming to Kansas and send little prayers that my hubby relaxes about the idea....

Ya, but remind him that he's still $2,200 less than the other guy who's closer.
