The standout trotter, Deweycheatumnhowe and award-
winning trainer and co-owner Ray Schnittker were unhurt in a trailer crash on an icy road in Pennsylvania yesterday, on their way to Lexington, KY. The truck and trailer flipped on their side and skidded down the road! Yikes! Schnittker's wife sustained a shoulder injury, and Dewey had some abrasions, but other than that, they were all OK. Miracle. Loff that guy's name!

He one great trotter too. There was just an article in Hoof Beats mag. (a stbrd mag) about how they trail ride and how he loves to swim. They do all this while he is still in race training. They said he just loves it. Which is fairly abnormal to the standbred world- most just race train.

My boss (Earl Beal, who owns the stdbrd broodmare farm I work at) and I were talking about what a great horse he is.

kaidensmom: Any stories or experience with a horse with strangles that is SOB? Gelding is currently hospitalized. On Penicillin and wasn't getting better so the vet just started horse on IV doses of DMSO. The abcesses are pharyngeal. Mar 13, 2017 22:41:03 GMT -5
