John Boyne. Another WWII set in Germany. Am I developing a fixation?
I won't say more, because of spoilers. But it won't leave me.
I have two copies (internet ordering accident) so if anyone wants it?

So it's good, uh? I'll look it up at the library. I've got so many things to read!

I think this is also a movie that our little theatre is showing this weekend. The title is the same.

Bara thanks for offering! But I don't want you to pay shipping to the US! I'll just pick it up at the library. MTA Goalie, I looked it up, it's very recent, too! Here's the trailer. www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5FU-yDC-uISounds like an interesting book and movie.

Wow, picked this up as a quick airplane read and WOW it was powerful. Thanks for the suggestion, Bara. I'm taking it to school to put on the shelf for the students to read. (high school students...)

Glad you liked it, Filly. Well, 'like' is the wrong word. Glad it moved you.
I was emailing with my SIL yesterday and asked her if she'd read it as a sort of 'stream of consciousness' thought. Then changed that to 'stream of conscienceness'.
No matter how bad things get in our domestic lives, I'll always hold the thought that I never had to ride that train to 'Out-With'.

No, it's hard, Terrie. Shame you didn't get to see the movie. I haven't either.
