Just got a call at work that Basco is making cow patties instead of horse apples. Yes, that is exactly how it was put to me. Anyway, I'm wondering if it's just the stress of having the new horse there. So when should I worry? He's been eating and drinking good. the only change besides the new horse that I can think of is a new load of hay.

I'm not sure RR. When Billy did that he had a reaction to the antibiotic paste I was giving him. It could be something as simple as stress with the new horse, but if it doesn't go away in 24 hours I think I would call the vet.

I bet it's the new load of hay. Charm gets the runs for a 2-3 days when we get new hay, too. I'm sure it's nothing but watch his poop for a few days, and if it doesn't go away, ask your vet.

It could be the stress of having an new horse close and the new hay. As already suggested if it doesn't clear up on it's own check with your Vet.
