I am cross/cross posting this from another forum (HGS) just to see if anyone can help:
This is going to be a tough one:
There are 14 Thoroughbreds and 1 older and very sweet Tennessee Walker (reportedly) gelding that are in desperate need of placement in Howard County, MD. These horses are well fed and very much loved, however, their elderly owner can no longer keep up with the work load and is having a very hard time. Before the horses start to suffer, he has asked for help to place them into good homes as quickly as possible and is considering euthanasia if homes can't be found in a reasonable amount of time. Trust me that he does not want to do this, but he also doesn't want his horses starving or going to fates unknown. A few of these horses he rescued after they raced and a few he took back after placing them in homes that he thought were good, but turned out not to be. He truly loves these horses from what I've been told.
I will list all of them below - some have reportedly won a lot of money on the track, one is a grand-daughter of Seattle Slew. They are all very nice looking horses although they all need some serious grooming. Some have not been handled in quite a while and a the mare "Voluttuosa" is most likely bred as she's been pastured with the stallion son ('Catch Me Later Baby') of 'Catch Me Later'.
I'm going to go in pasture order so that I can put the right picture with the right horse and pedigree. It was a hectic day and I will try my hardest to match everyone up correctly.
If anyone can do any research on any of these horses and find more info that may help them find a home, it would be greatly appreciated.
1. Frajoton - Grey stallion, approximately 15.2 hands. Born 1991.

2. Vindictive - Bay Gelding, approximately 15.2-15.3 hands. Born 1994. He had an ankle injury in the past and is reported to be suited for light riding. Seattle Slew Great Grandson.

3. No name given - older Tennessee Walker Gelding. Unsure of age, reported to be very easy going and bombproof. He's a cute guy and looks to be sound and in good shape. Approximately 15.1 - 15.2

4. Catch Me Later Baby (out of Catch Me Later, unsure of sire) - Handsome bay stallion, approximately 6-7 years old? Not very halter broke, but friendly at the fence. I'm very worried about this guys fate and if he can't be placed safely, he is a definite candidate for euthanasia. It's going to be nearly impossible to find this guy a home I think. No pedigree online.

If anyone can find more info on any of these guys, please contact me at CelticReinRescue@aol.com - if anyone has any specific questions regarding any of these horses, please email me and I will contact the person helping that knows them all pretty well. I know this is going to be a tough one and the owner knows it as well, but I had to try.
I honestly do not know what has been done with any of them, but considering the situation, I doubt they've been ridden in a while.
I can not place these horses under our contract because there is no way I could promise to take them in if needed down the road - maybe one or two, but definitely not all of them.
We will be checking references if not going to someone already approved by us or a rescue that we've worked with before and trust. I would rather see them meet a peaceful and humane end than end up in the wrong hands or a bad situation.
If anyone knows of someone that may know one of these horses or can take one on, please pass it on to them.
