I was hoping to go visit him one day as he is Indy's sire, but I just read that he was euthanized at age 17 I think he must have been one of the kindest sons of Storm Cat if Indy is anything to go by. RIP beautiful boy. www.brookdalefarm.com/forest-wildcat-news.shtmlUpdated to say I sent an email to Brookdale Farm with my condolences on Forest Wildcat's passing and letting them know that I am fortunate enough to have one of his sons. I asked if Indy had his great disposition from his sire and they said: Isn't that so great that they took the time to reply! This is a big breeding farm in Kentucky and Forest Wildcat stood for $35,000! They also had Deputy Minister.

Jackie: I did send a reply with Indy's info but I probably won't hear back. Forest Wildcat had lots of foals that did really well on the track and Indy's career was stopped by that bowed tendon before he had a chance to show anything. Still, if he had won lots of races, he would never have ended up with me!

Oh wow, I didn't know he was euthanized either. I have a son too, gelded. Had him for about a year and a half, he's a sweetheart, but a wild man a lot of the times. He also is a professional loser. Usually finds a way to get beat in a race, although did finally just win for me two weeks ago. I think he was caught by surprise. He is probably the most attractive horse I've ever seen in my life- gorgeous.
