From: Wayne Quarles [mailto:activities@ponyclub.org] Sent: Monday, February 24, 2003 10:49 AM To: DCDigest; RS Digest Subject: [rsdigest] The future of Eventing - CIC vs CCI Following is a link to the CDCTA survey on CCIs, www.cdcta.com/poll/poll_usea.phpIt would be beneficial if everyone with an opinion went there and voted. So far only 984 people have voted of the entire membership. If we wish to retain the CCI as a part of our sport it is imperative that all members voice their opinion. There will be a meeting the weekend of March 9th, in Germany, with the FEI to discuss keeping the CCI as a qualification for Olympic CICs as well as maintaining the CCI format for the World Championships and the Olympics when they are held in countries where the CCI is indigenous. It would be beneficial to have more responses from our community for our representatives to carry to this meeting. Done. Seems like an overwhelming majority wants to keep it as CCI! Good!

I voted, CCI of course. Can't remember the trainer, will look it up. But in Practical Horseman he likened what the Olympics want to do with Eventing as the Dumbing Down of the sport. :hahaha:
Common, they have that 'sport' Where they cross country ski, then shoot at some targets, ski some more, shoot at targets. Sheesh, and they think Dressage is boring?
